Software Architect For AI & IoT Systems

As our Software Architect, you will be the driving force behind defining, designing, and overseeing the implementation of our software solutions. You'll ensure our systems meet stringent requirements for performance, security, scalability, sustainability, and maintainability. Your key responsibilities will include:

Architectural Vision & Design:

• Lead the comprehensive software architecture design for Microservices and Event-driven systems, supporting real-time streaming and integrating advanced AI recognition modules (People Counting, Face Recognition, Intrusion Detection, etc.).
• Define architectural principles, design patterns, technical standards, and core technologies to be adopted across the entire system.
• Architect core components for Media processing (video streams, snapshots, transcoding, storage), AI Service integration, device management (cameras, NVRs, IoT sensors), and alert/event flows (event push, rule engine).
• Evaluate and propose suitable technical solutions, frameworks, and libraries.

Performance & Quality Assurance:

• Design high-throughput and scalable API Gateways (Kong/Nginx/gRPC), ensuring secure and efficient API communication.
• Propose architectural and technical solutions for optimizing streaming performance, caching, async processing, load balancing, and scaling to handle thousands of concurrent connections and massive data volumes.
• Ensure the sustainability, fault tolerance, and maintainability of the architecture.

Data Management & Storage Systems:

• Architect data storage solutions (video and metadata) using subsystems like S3, MinIO, ensuring cost-effectiveness, fast retrieval, and data integrity.
• Design database architectures (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis) and message queue systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT) for consistency, performance, and fault tolerance at scale.

Technical Leadership & Implementation Oversight:

• Guide, advise, and support development teams (Senior/Lead Developers) in implementing the defined architecture, ensuring adherence to design principles.
• Conduct code reviews and architectural reviews to ensure solution quality and consistency.
• Promote the adoption of best practices and standardized processes.

DevOps & Information Security:

• Propose and design CI/CD, logging, and monitoring solutions (K8s, Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure stable system operations, comprehensive observability, and automation.
• Ensure architectural security from design to deployment (API security, token-based auth – JWT, OAuth2, Keycloak, E2EE Data for Video, Audio).

Research & Strategic Consulting:

• Actively research and evaluate new technologies, market trends, and provide strategic long-term development directions for products and the platform.
• Collaborate closely with AI, Mobile, Web, QA Teams, and Product Owners to translate business requirements into feasible and effective technical architectures.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in IT, Computer Science, or a related engineering field.
  
  4+ years of in-depth backend software development experience, with at least 2 years in a Software Architect or Technical Lead/Manager role primarily responsible for software architecture.
• Extensive experience in designing large-scale system architectures: Microservices, Event-driven, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, Hexagonal Architecture.

Proficiency in Backend Technologies:

• Languages: Python, Go, or Node.js (multi-language proficiency is a plus).
• Databases: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis.
• Message Queues: Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT.
• APIs: RESTful APIs, WebSocket, gRPC.

Deep expertise in Media Streaming:

• Streaming protocols (RTSP, HLS, SRT, WebRTC, RTMP...).
• Optimization for low-latency video streaming and handling large concurrent connections.
• Experience with FFmpeg, GStreamer, or other media processing libraries.

Strong background in Cloud Native & DevOps:

• Designing and deploying on Kubernetes/Docker, CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with monitoring/logging stacks (Elastic Stack, Loki, Grafana, Prometheus).
• In-depth understanding of Cloud Native principles, PaaS, object storage optimization (S3, MinIO), serverless pipelines.

High Priority:

• Experience in designing and implementing AI Streaming Pipelines or Edge AI (ONVIF, RTSP AI analytics).
• Familiarity with camera/NVR standards (ONVIF, GB/T28181...).
• Experience in designing and implementing advanced security solutions (E2EE Data for Video/Audio).
